Workshop and Contract Services
MHDS, Inc. offers a range of contract jobs through the Facility Based Day Service in each of the 3 Day Sites in Jackson, Bolivar, and Brownsville.
Workshop and Contract Services benefit the entire community by offering business and industry an alternative, yet cost-effective labor free workforce, without sacrificing that crucial element of quality.
Either on site at a business, in our workshop, or by direct hiring of persons in our program, MHDS, Inc. provides a highly trained workforce. Each of our Day sites are built to accommodate Tractor-Trailer rigs, and we offer some pick up and delivery services. We also have equipment such as forklifts and pallet-jacks for loading and unloading of products. If the job requires it, our facilities can accommodate specialized equipment or machinery used to complete the job. Any specialized equipment is returned upon job completion.
Comprehensive Time-studies are completed on each proposed contract to ensure that Service Recipients are paid a competitive wage rate for the work they complete. A special labor license with the Department of Labor allows Service Recipients to be paid on a piece rate basis.
